The Jensen Project, Inc, is proud to support a transformative investment in the future of anti-trafficking efforts through a $4 million gift to the University of New Haven.
This commitment will help establish the Jensen Community Center for Applied Justice—a first-of-its-kind space designed to advance survivor-centered solutions, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and develop scalable strategies to address human trafficking nationwide.
Located in a reimagined 10,000-square-foot space in West Haven, Connecticut, the Center will serve as both a gateway to campus and a visible commitment to advancing justice. The space will house several of the University’s leading programs, creating opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, real-world application, and community engagement.
The Jensen Community Center for Applied Justice will serve as a national hub for innovation, bringing together academic institutions, survivor leaders, and justice-focused organizations under one roof.
Through research, training, policy development, and public education, the Center will focus on:
This integrated approach reflects a core belief of The Jensen Project: that meaningful change requires collaboration, shared knowledge, and a commitment to supporting the whole person. This partnership represents more than a physical space—it is an investment in the future of the field.
By supporting the development of innovative, survivor-centered initiatives and scalable best practices, the Jensen Community Center for Applied Justice aims to strengthen how systems respond to exploitation and support long-term pathways forward.
At its core, this work is about connection—bringing together the people, knowledge, and resources needed to create lasting impact.
