Director of Strategic Initiatives, The Jensen Project
Sarah Johnston, MSW, is Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Jensen Project, where she leads the work on policy change and implementation. Sarah brings her experience as a social worker and anti-trafficking advocate to provide linkages to tactical projects to our funded partners and works to broadly move the anti-trafficking field and The Jensen Project forward through innovation and operational support. In addition, Sarah oversees a portfolio of grantees focused on impacting policy change and implementation within the anti-trafficking space.
Sarah is a social worker and advocate, and has worked in the anti-trafficking field since 2015. Sarah has a background in direct service provision and child welfare, which provides the unique experience to address the anti-trafficking field through the lens of strategic system change and program development.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, International Relations and Human Rights from the University of California, Davis, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work.
